Mosin nagant serial number location

The addiction continues haha. Picked up my new Finnish M28 yesterday. I'm pretty happy with it. I don't think the ski trooper stock is the rifles original stock. I've read the first 6,000 were made with the ski trooper stocks, but mine has serial number 10934. So I'm assuming this ski trooper stock replaced the original at some point..

From what I understand on the refurbs, federal law requires the importer to serial number the receiver since the receiver doesn't have one. The barrel has it but the receiver is the 'firearm'. The importer randomly assigns a serial number based I'm the order taken out of the crate.
