It is fast but so is the Bone Dagger. Personally I do not see much difference between bone dagger and spider fang dagger, against diving bell spiders bone dagger feels more efficient to me. However for maintianence spider fang dagger should be much easier later on.

If you're going to use the BW dagger, you really don't need Mask of the Mother Demon. But for my dagger I went Mighty, since I use other weapon types for salt, spicy and etc. I also use the Club of the Mother Demon over the dagger, more poison damage and damage overall. Edit: spelling. lol, the Broodmother armor set and weapon are way better than any of the other boss items. The club does great damage and kills really fast when upgraded, and with the apex predator mutation you get a nice venom attack. The armor is insane when mixed with widow and makes a great poison build.Then, alot of guides are rather cheats. They put difficulty lower, or just tried to show strategies by having god-mode enabled, without taking damage. Then there are many guides already using Apex Predator Mutations, funnily which is only unlocked after you beat Mantis. Despite of all the upgraded armor sets and weapons, I seem to fail always.
